50 years of marriage...

How special to have your parents married for 50 years. They are truly an example to those around them. They both have such great testimonies and have been stalwart examples to everyone around them. I am grateful for such wonderful parents! We had such a nice celebration for them. We had a nice sit down meal and enjoyed a nice slide show produced by my cute sister Teresa!! Thanks Teresa, it made the night extra special. How fun to see all these important people in our lives get together to honor my parents.

Saying Goodbye...

It is REALLY tough to say good bye when you are leaving your kids at college! How could they really be old enough to stay by themselves and take care of themselves? It just seams like yesterday they were 2 or 6 or 12 or 15. On the other hand it is sooo wonderful to see them grow and come into their own person and they really can't do that with MOM doing anything for them. So we send them away and just have a bit of a hole in our hearts until they are back BUGGING us once more. I love my girls and miss them TERRIBLY!!!

BYU Here we come...

The LLOONNGG awaited day arrived for Collette. We moved her into Heritage Halls in Harris Hall. She LOVES her rooomates. Don't they look like a fun bunch! Oh yes, and of course good ole' Bridget is VERY happy to have Collette finally up there with her. Bridget and Collette have planned on going to BYU together since they were little so it was fun to see it finally happen. Collette is one VERY happy BYU COED!!! Hard for me to believe!!!

First Day of School...

WE came home from camping and school started 3 days later. Natalie started High School at Valencia, Brittney's Alma Mater and Chandler started 4th Grade. Everyone is Growing WAY too Fast!!! Natalie LOVES high school, I think because it makes her a bigger kid and also she is SOOO happy to be back with her best buddy Katelyn.

Notice the cute new backpack!
Chandler is soo excited to be a big 4th grader, his teacher is Mrs. Spampinato!

It's all about the shoes these days, we HAD to have "DC's"
Now he can hold his head up high at school!

camping at Morrow Bay...

One of our favorite things to do over the summer is camp with our friends from Castaic. In years past we always wen to the Sequoias but this year we decided to do beach camping and we LOVED it. We went to Morrow Bay and I vote we go back next year. There was a fun trolley bus that took us to town each day. Brittney and Collette went shopping but otherwise hid in the motor home all weekend playing cards and reading twilight books. They graced us with their presence one evening and entertained us at the fireside. Natalie enjoyed hanging with the teenagers. Chandler LOVED it all! He and John went canoeing. I'll have to add those pictures later. My buddy Theresa came over on her bike and asked me to come play so we went riding our bikes around the campsite, we even did a bit of off roading. I felt like a kid again. We shared a spot with the Cioffi's to be closer to the crowds. They are very entertaining and GREAT cooks. Notice the picture of Chandler feeding the squirrels. How cute is that. I vote we go back to Morrow Bay next year!!!

Twilight Fans...

Apparently this car is like Bella's from twilight. Also Notice their shirts worn for the day they were going to get the new book Breaking Dawn
A big part of our vacation was BREAKING DAWN! Natalie has been counting down for this for months and Brittney and Collette joined in on the frenzy!! So they got the books the day of John's folks big dinner, we were even a tad late but we sure had some happy girls. Then we had to pry them away from their books to enjoy their family at the Joost family reunion.
