Collette...

Isn't she Beautiful!!! I am sooo glad to have her home with us!!!
We had Collette's Senior picture taken a year ago with the assigned photographer. He spent about 5 minutes with her and we hated them. So before she went off to college I took her to our friend Brad Smith and for the same cost he took us to a cool location and spent a good hour taking pictures of Collette and voila, these are our favorites. Everyone should do senior pictures with Brad. Here is his webiste

Together Again

Thursday we will be together again with our girls and I can't wait. There is a BIG hole in our family right now and it will be good to be whole again and have the girls around for a few days.

Of course this is what it will be like and I'll want everyone to go their seperate ways, but for now I want us all together!!!

My Baby Boy

I can't believe it has been 10 years since Chandler was born. I found these pictures recently and loved how happy I look in this picture after he was born. We were so happy he was well since he came a month early.

I absolutely LOVE this picture of my boys. John was SOOOOO very happy to have a son.

Our lives have been soooo blessed by our burst of testosterone!!! It hasn't been easy but I guess that makes it all the better!!!
We LOVE you Chandler

The Birthday Boys

So yesterday Chandler reached the double didgets, he turned 10. Today John is enjoying the 40's for the last year! Chandler got this new bike for his birthday and had to try it out on Sunday before church. Natalie call him a missionary!!! Happy Birthday Boys!!!

Halloween the Costumes

What a Handsome "DUDE" as he call himself. We called him Fonzie and then of course the teenagers.........

Too tired to pose with their silly costumes.

The Pumpkin patch

Our tradition of the pumpkin patch has dwindled to Mom, Dad and Chandler. But the carmel apples were REALLY good.

Halloween Carving the pumpkins

Notice Natalie and the biggest teenage girl eyeroll ever!!!!!

Yes on 8............

Proposition 8 won. Boy was Chandler happy. We weren't sure if he could stay in the public school system if it didn't pass so he was very happy to hear it won. I just can't believe our family is having to fight for the religious freedom in the year 2008. Wednesday the temple had to be evacuated and closed because of the protesting. Today at church we had a couple of protesters out front but fortunately it didn't get any more than that. We seem to be the bad guys in this even though we are only less than 5% of the 52% of the population that voted to amend the constitution to say marriage is between a man and a women. I hate to ask but I wonder What's next???

Mother's Weekend in Idaho

So the 50 years is about up and now it is time to post again.... Brooks and Theresa and I took a trip to Idaho for Mother's weekend. We had a blast but being college kids again isn't for 40 and 50 year olds!!! They wiped us out!

We were waiting for our flight at 7AM in the morning. Do you know what time you have to get up to be ready for a 7AM flight? EARLIER than seminary!!!

My sister Teresa and I picked up Collette in Provo to join us in Idaho for a day. It was sooo great to see my baby girls again.

Collette, Teresa, my sister and Myself all attended classes with Brittney on Friday. I turned out to be the guest speaker in Brittney's Religion class. Good thing I am happily married because my impromptu speech was on marriage.

Brittney and I along with Theresa, Lindsey Brooks and Austin attended a really nice luncheon for Mom's and daughters.

We visited Brittney's job. Isn't she cute behind the desk. She looks soooo official!!

As an added bonus, I got to see my favorite people! The Rayners. Shirley and I just have too good of a time together!!! I love her family. Her husband used to call us sisters and I do feel like she is my sister. Her kids are like family to me also. Sarah is sooooo amazingly fun, I'm sure she got that in her first 5 years of life when I took care of her part time.!!!! I take full credit for everything good about her. I don't know why they have to live SSOOOOO far away!!!!

Just hanging out at Brittney and Austin's apartment. It was SNOWING outside like crazy. I'm sure glad Brooks was driving.
Thanks girls for such a GREAT time.
We LOVE BYU IDAHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

50 years of marriage...

How special to have your parents married for 50 years. They are truly an example to those around them. They both have such great testimonies and have been stalwart examples to everyone around them. I am grateful for such wonderful parents! We had such a nice celebration for them. We had a nice sit down meal and enjoyed a nice slide show produced by my cute sister Teresa!! Thanks Teresa, it made the night extra special. How fun to see all these important people in our lives get together to honor my parents.

Saying Goodbye...

It is REALLY tough to say good bye when you are leaving your kids at college! How could they really be old enough to stay by themselves and take care of themselves? It just seams like yesterday they were 2 or 6 or 12 or 15. On the other hand it is sooo wonderful to see them grow and come into their own person and they really can't do that with MOM doing anything for them. So we send them away and just have a bit of a hole in our hearts until they are back BUGGING us once more. I love my girls and miss them TERRIBLY!!!
